Description

Embark on an unforgettable full-day private journey into Thailand’s rich royal and historical past. This exclusive tour takes you from the serene elegance of a royal summer palace to the majestic ruins of a once-glorious ancient capital.

Tour Highlights:

  1. Morning Departure (Approx. 8:00 A.M.):
Your private, air-conditioned vehicle (Toyota Camry or Commuter Van, depending on group size) and experienced driver will pick you up from your Bangkok hotel.

  2. Bang Pa-in Royal Palace (The Summer Palace):
Your first destination is the stunning Bang Pa-in Royal Palace, located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. This picturesque summer retreat, used by Thai Kings since the 17th century, showcases an eclectic and fascinating mix of Thai, Chinese, and European architectural styles. Wander through its beautifully manicured gardens, admire the iconic Aisawan Dhiphya-Asana Pavilion (Thai-style pavilion in the middle of a lake), the Chinese-style Wehart Chamrunt Palace, and other ornate structures.

  3. Journey to Ayutthaya & Scenic River Views:
Continue onwards to Ayutthaya, the magnificent former capital of Siam (1350-1767). As part of your Ayutthaya experience, you’ll enjoy a private long-tailed speedboat ride along the historic Chao Phraya River and its tributaries. This offers a unique perspective of the ancient city, allowing you to witness local life along the riverbanks and see some of the ruins from the water, much like travelers of old.

  4. Ayutthaya Historical Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site):
Immerse yourself in the grandeur of Ayutthaya. Explore iconic ancient ruins and majestic Buddhist temples that whisper tales of its former glory. Key sites you may visit include (but are not limited to, subject to time and local conditions):

    • Wat Mahathat: Famous for the iconic Buddha head entwined within the roots of a Bodhi tree.

    • Wat Phra Si Sanphet: The largest and most beautiful temple in the old capital, once part of the Royal Palace grounds, known for its three prominent chedis.

    • Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon: Featuring a towering chedi and rows of saffron-robed Buddha statues.

    • Other significant ruins that showcase the architectural prowess of the Ayutthaya period.
