Travel like the wind : Suchart Choolee
When life calls for a pause to recharge the soul, escaping the chaos and heading into nature is the best therapy. Hiking, therefore, is not just physical exercise; it is a journey to test the spirit and awaken the senses, allowing for a true connection with the forest. This time, our destination is “Takro Waterfall,” a hidden gem nestled within the vast wilderness of Khao Yai National Park.
The path to the waterfall may not be a red carpet, but a trail over damp earth. Flanked by diverse flora, the sounds of cicadas and the forest’s symphony create a natural soundtrack for our journey. Each step is a form of meditation, a way to leave worries behind and focus on the present moment. Before long, the sound of water cascading over rocks grows louder, signaling that our destination is near.
And the sight that greets us is worth every drop of sweat. Takro Waterfall, while not immense or imposing, is beautiful with its natural, cascading tiers of rock. The stream flows down into the pool below, and its cool, refreshing spray fills the air. The surrounding atmosphere, filled with lush green forests and hills, makes you feel as if you’ve stepped into another world.
Sitting by the stream, letting its sound soothe the mind, is a moment of true discovery. We discover not only the beauty of nature but also the tranquility hidden within ourselves. This journey, therefore, is more than just a trip; it’s a return to replenish our life force from the greatest source of all: nature itself.
